Fun Day!

Today in class, we made our end of the year paper owls which required a lot of good listening to follow my step-by-step directions. Their owls turned out AMAZING and they were so excited to bring them home to show you! Way to go, K-1! Below are some class pictures with their owls and of course they had to take a few silly ones.

This afternoon, I read them a book called, How Does Your Salad Grow? This was a book from our HMH reading program and they did such a great job listening during the story and doing the activities that went along with it. We did a story mat where they glued pictures in order on the steps you need to take when making a salad at home, a writing activity telling me if they like salad or not and telling me why. We also did a mini-boook where we read it and highlighted all the heart words. They have all become such amazing readers...WOW!!!!!!

It was a wonderful day in kindergarten and I am looking forward to the last 2 days with them until we wrap up the year. Tomorrow is movie day where we will be watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and we will also have an end of the year all school assembly. It will be fun day!
