What a fun Friday!

Our day today was filled with holiday cheer and lots of smlies and giggles! It was such a fun day! In the morning, my little kindergarten friends made Rudolph hats and they turned out SO CUTE! They LOVED wearing them and had fun taking some class pictures as reindeers!
We did a color by number activity where they colored specific numbers specific colors. As they colored, a hidden picture was revealed. They LOVED doing this activity to guess what it would be as they colored. When the numbers were all colored in, they found that it was a picture of Rudolph. This activity was wonderful number recognition practice in identifying numbers 1-100. Great job, K-1!
In math, I gave them the chapter test on Shapes and they all did AMAZING!!!! They are all flat and solid shape experts and they did a wonderful job learning the names of the shapes, how many sides and corners they have and differences among them. They learned how you can put shapes together to make bigger shapes and we also learned shape patterns too. When we come back from winter break, we will be working more with patterns and ensuring they understand this math concept.
This afternoon, was filled with nothing but fun!!! We had indoor playtime, watched Arthur's Christmas, had Storytime with the Pricipals, and ended our day with Art. They had the BEST day and our room was full of smiles, giggles and fun!!! Have a wonderful winter break everyone and Happy Holidays! I hope you find time to stay in your pajamas a little longer and have so much fun making new holiday memories with our little ones! They are all such a joy to teach and I am very thankful I get to be their kindegarten teacher this year! I will see you all in 2026!
