Wow! How is this Sunday February 1st already? The year is flying by and going way to FAST! With it being February in a few days, we made our calendars today where they got to create heart masterpieces on top of their February calendars. They turned out so cute! I reminded them all that when they got home they should hang it in a special spot so that they could check each day to see all the important things that are happening in our classroom or at Olive. We have a birthday on February 3rd in our class and the class can't wait to celebrate her birthday with her on her big day!
In math, we finished Chapter 6 learning all about teen numbers and how to take apart numbers to 20 too. We talke alot about how teen numbers are a group of 10 and a few more depending on the number given. Such as 17 is 1 group of 10 and 7 more ones. They did such a great job learning these math concepts and I am so thrilled with all they are learning.
In reading and writing, they are all conitinuing to grow as readers and writers. With each new sound we learn, they are becoming more and more confident in their reading and writing on their own! Their writing today was AMAZING! Way to go, K-1! My little owls are learning so much and they are doing wonderful!
